Porty Cardigan by The Shetland Trader | This is the cardigan version of the Porty Pullover. This cardigan is worked in one piece from the top down with a circular yoke construction. Sleeves and body are separated at the underarm. Short rows are used to raise the back neck. Colorwork is charted for the yoke and cuffs. Steek stitches are cut after knitting and an I-Cord button band is worked along the cut steek edges.

Gauge:

  • 27 sts and 32 rnds = 4” / 10cm in Fair Isle Yoke Pattern on US 4 / 3.5mm needle
  • 27 sts and 36 rnds = 4” / 10cm in St St in the round on US 3 / 3.25mm needle

Finished Measurements: 35 ¼ (37 ½, 41, 43 ½, 45 ¾, 48 ¼, 50 ½, 53 ½, 56 ½, 58 ¾) in / 89.5 (95, 104, 110.5, 116, 122.5, 128, 136, 143.5, 149) cm at chest (this includes the button band). Suggested ease is between 2-4 in / 5-10cm of positive ease.
